Cultivar Origin:

Monstera deliciosa, seed grown sport.

Name Origin:

It's a reference to the variegated markings that are similar to ocean waves, or foam on the ocean. Named in agreement with the originator, Michael D'Andrea.

Growth Habit:

Similar growth characteristics to variegated large form Monstera deliciosa, stacked internodes, leaves progressively getting larger, will climb given the opportunity, although every leaf is contorted and grows differently. These were tested by the registrant and found to be virus-free.

Leaf Blade:

Rippled edges, contorted leaves, variegation is very busy resembling ocean wave breaks or foam on the surface of water, the distinction of the different colors intensifies with more sunlight. All propagated plants maintain the general characteristics and growth habits, with no two leaves being identical. The leaves develop cuts and perforations as they grow similar to normal Monstera deliciosa, but still keeps the contorted rippled leaves.

Bloom and Fruit:

Not observed.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

Rippled edges, contorted leaf growth, distinct yellow to creamish-yellow variegation pattern, every leaf is differently shaped. This cultivar has dark green leaves, and show normal growth where they are absent of variegation.
